The Robins are depicted in large numbers competing for territory. The denomination of such a small bill is played down with one large 2 lit up on a ball in the foreground and other smaller balls blended in the background.
The Belted Kingfisher with its prominent head and large presence has been depicted in a grand fashion taking up most of the canvas. A series of 5 balls wind their way down the edge of the composition and punch through the background.
This is a stylized depiction of an Osprey coming out of the sun in a series of moves to pull a fish out of a turbulent ocean. A series of balls representing the denomination of the $10 bill disappears into a vortex in the sky.
In an informal poll conducted in the studio it has been determined that this composition is the favourite amongst artists. The background is out of focus while foreground elements are in extreme focus. Two Common Loons are imbedded into a stylized design which is many layers above the background and there are stream-like brushstrokes flowing into a reflective foreground. 20 balls float in the water, float in the sky and blur into the distance.
One of the most time consuming compositions to produce in the series the $50 dipicts a Snowy Owl with stylized northern winds swirling around to meet $50 balls which continue into a cold, dark abyss.
The Canada Goose is depicted as a single egg in a stylized nest resting on a bed of balls representing the denomination of the $100 bill. This was the first composition produced in the series. This is based on a composition originally created in a program called Altamira Composer in 1997.
