Heather Pittet

Heather Pittet has been interested in the arts her entire life. Her first professional success was painting wall murals for children through the 1980s and 90s. She bought her first SLR camera and began exploring and developing her skills as a photographer in 1982. With the birth of her children she became interested in all aspects of children's portraiture. “I endeavour to capture my subjects unique personality.”
| Heather Pittet has added digital photography and graphic design work to her technical skills over the past decade. She has won a variety of awards for her photography and is proud of her reputation as a photographer who can work with many concepts, ideas, locations as well as capturing the uniqueness of each individual situation. Heather seeks to share captured images through photography in much the same way that writers, painters, poets, and musicians seek to evoke feelings and reactions through their respective media. |

Heather Pittet was born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, and considers herself a "prairie girl by choice." A portion of her work depicts her love of the natural beauty that is Saskatchewan. Experiencing her vivid scenic and macro photography of the flora, fauna and historical sites of the area give the effect of being immersed in the moment with the photographer.
